Uniforms Unlimited No.5 contains copies of both Uniform Girls Vol.2 No.6 and Uniform Girls Vol.2 No.7. Both magazines feature some excellent unpublished images from photo stories that first appeared in the original Blushes run – see below.

We were delighted to recently hear again from longtime Janus correspondents AM and JA. The last time they contacted us AM was hoping to persuade JA to write about her experiences of receiving corporal punishment. I’m pleased to say that JA has been kind enough to email us her memories and thoughts about this aspect of their relationship. She takes up the story:

Let me begin by telling you that when we first met I knew nothing about spanking, and never ever tried anything like it in any earlier relationship. I had received nice compliments about my bottom, which was very flattering and, as any woman will tell you, does make you feel nice. I had the odd playful smack at times, but thought nothing of it really.

Phoenix 14 contains some wonderful full page Hans Braun drawings with the emphasis on clothes worn for punishment. The image below portrays ‘prison jeans for the Arkansas strap’.

Alan ‘Badger’ Bartholomew was incensed. The college tutor in science had strong principles and points of view, and was rarely afraid of expressing them. He was also a rugby coach, ex-heavyweight boxer, and an enthusiastic disciplinarian.

Already Badger was acquiring a reputation as a good man to call on in a crisis. He’d successfully dealt with no less than three college girls, members of a triumphant athletics team whose success had sent them off the rails (Janus 142). Then there had been the two females he’d punished in separate sessions on the same day – one, a pretty pop star with an attitude problem, in the morning: then the other, an aloof but deserving civil servant, in the afternoon (Janus 146). His most recent outing, so to speak, had come when a despairing college head called on him to bring a mutinous girl student into line (Janus 150).

Due to past successes in the field, he’d now been given carte blanche by a consortium of local college head teachers to roam at will applying discipline where he thought fit, and in Lois Keane he found his latest focus. She had strolled into school that morning wearing anorak, pants, garish T-shirt and – perhaps most offensive of all – trainers. Lois was ready to refashion the world in her own haphazard image, cock snooks at the teachers and police, make her own rules and to hell with the rest.

Such attitudes did not sit well with Badger Bartholomew’s philosophy…

Thanks to everyone who emailed us about last week’s post ‘Desperately Seeking Teresa’. This certainly seems to have been a popular idea with visitors to the site – our thanks to Roger and BW for pointing out that we missed the very obvious Uniform Girls 21, which features a lovely photo of Teresa from the back on the cover!

This time our focus is on ‘Annabel’. It’s hard to say exactly when she first appeared as she was in early issues of Blushes, Blushes Supplement and Uniform Girls. It looks like she took part in four different photo shoots for the magazines. We’ve taken Blushes Supplement 4 to be her first appearance – the portrait of her on the front cover is superb. This photo shoot is re-visited again in Uniform Girls 37 with quite a number of unpublished images.

Her first appearance in Blushes was the Blushes 10 photo story ‘Top Secret’. It’s the only one of her appearances that doesn’t seem to have been revisited in later issues. That said, we don’t yet have a full set of Blushes stable magazines (who does?) so, if you know differently please get in touch.

Annabel’s third photo shoot had a ‘schoolgirl’ theme and was spread across Blushes Supplement 7 and Blushes Supplement 8. It is perhaps the best of her four appearances with some wonderful, evocative photography capturing the tension and anxiety before her punishment is administered. This shoot was re-visited again in Blushes 68 which is currently unavailable as our copy has a couple of pages missing – sorry! We also found two great out-takes from this shoot which appeared in Blushes Vol.2 No.2 and Blushes Vol.2 No.5. We have reproduced them below as they are the only images of Annabel in those magazines.

Finally comes an army themed photo story called ‘Civil Liberties’ which was first published in Uniform Girls 3. Plenty of extra photos from this shoot can be found in Uniform Girls 28, Uniform Girls 45 and Blushes 70. You will also find a few additional photos from all four shoots in Dear Blushes 58.
