Three more magazines have just been added to our online shop. Janus Vol.7 No.7, Janus 135 and Februs 30 are now all available to download.

Janus Vol.7 No.7 is a ‘special birching number’ and includes many excellent vintage photos and illustrations about this theme. Click on the highlighted links to download any of these magazines.

Thanks to those of you who have asked to see more of the older run of Janus Volumes. I’m pleased to confirm that all the original Volumes will eventually be available to download alongside the modern run.

Naughty Natalie appeared three times in the pages of Janus at the end of the 90’s and was the subject of many readers letters. These unpublished photos are from her final appearance in Janus 138. She had previously been seen in Janus 132 (with the equally popular Tara Duncan) and Janus 133, both of which will be available to download in the near future.

Look out for more unpublished photos of Natalie when these issues become available.

Janus Vol.7 No.12 is notable because it contains six unique colour prints which the editor dated tentatively about 1780, but which illustrate corporal punishment scenes from much earlier times.

They go from the fifteenth century (Une verge pour l’autre) through Tudor, Stuart (Théroigne de Merincourt) and early eighteenth century (La Dame de Liancourt) to the middle eighteenth century in the charming pair of pictures of the gentleman turning the tables on his tormentors in Les Représailles.
